CORONAVIRUS – REMOTE EXAMINATIONS

As part of MedCo’s ongoing review process, Users should note the following update to the guidance issued on 3rd November 2020.

With immediate effect all Users should refer to any relevant national and/or local restrictions that   are   in   place   in   relation   to   asking   claimants   to   travel   in   exceptional   circumstances, together with the MedCo guidance published on 3rd  July 2020, before deciding whether or not it is essential for an examination to be conducted face to face or by remote means.

However,   please   note   that   MedCo   considers   that   the   general   Government   exemption   for “hospital GP and other medical appointments or visits where you have had an accident or are concerned about your health” may not be considered to be exceptional circumstances.  All Users should read this notice in conjunction with the MedCo guidance issued on 3rd July 2020.  Read the full guidance here…
